Rajesh Khanna was a legendary Indian actor and film producer who is considered as one of the greatest actors in the history of Indian cinema. He was born on December 29, 1942, in Amritsar, Punjab, India, and was named Jatin Khanna at birth. His father, Chandran Khanna, was a freedom fighter who later became a wealthy textile businessman.

He had a tumultuous childhood due to his father’s imprisonment during the Indian independence struggle. He lost his mother at the age of five and was raised by his aunt and uncle in Delhi. He received his education at Delhi’s Delhi Public School and later enrolled at the University of Delhi where he received a degree in commerce.

Rajesh Khanna made his acting debut in 1966 with the film “Aakhri Khat.” Although the film was a box office failure, it marked the beginning of a successful career in the film industry. However, it was his role in the film “Anand” (1971) that catapulted him to stardom. He went on to act in more than 150 films, many of which became huge commercial successes. Some of his notable films include “Bawarchi,” “Amar Prem,” “Namak Haraam,” “Buddha Mil Gaya,” and “Amar Akbar Anthony.” He was known for his versatility as an actor and his ability to portray a wide range of emotions on screen.

In the 1970s, he rose to superstardom with hit films such as “Anand,” “Bawarchi,” “Amar Prem,” and “Namak Haraam.” He also made his debut as a film producer with the film “Jai Shiv Shankar.”

In the 1980s, he continued to have a successful career with films such as “Avishkaar,” “Bhola Bhala,” and “Ghar Ek Mandir.” He also sang in several films and had a successful career as a playback singer.

In the 1990s, he appeared in fewer films but continued to act in critically acclaimed films such as “Avtar” and “Yugpurush.” He also appeared in several television shows and stage productions.

Actor Leon Vitali, who was most known for his role as Lord Bullingdon in “Barry Lyndon” (and later worked as Stanley Kubrick’s personal assistant), passed away on Saturday,  Aged 74.

The official Kubrick Twitter account confirmed Vitali’s passing. Sadly, we don’t know any more about Vitali’s passing beyond what’s already been reported.

Vitali’s most famous role to date is in Kubrick’s period black comedy, for which he is most remembered. Characterized by Ryan O’Neal’s blank-faced scoundrel, Vitali plays the resentful, spoiled stepson who, in the story’s climactic showdown, gets his comeuppance from the aforementioned scoundrel.

In spite of the fact that “Barry Lyndon” did not establish Vitali as a regular performer, it did lead to the actor developing a close relationship with Kubrick, who gave Vitali editorial control over the picture after main production had wrapped. In 1980, as Kubrick was working on “The Shining,” he asked Vitali, then in his early 30s, to lend a hand. Vitali is credited as “personal assistant to director” on the classic horror picture.

For the rest of Kubrick’s life, Vitali worked as a casting director and Kubrick’s assistant on films including 1987’s “Full Metal Jacket” and 1999’s “Eyes Wide Shut.” In the latter picture, Vitali played Red Cloak, the disguised head of an aristocratic, orgiastic cult.

Vitali oversaw the restoration of many of Kubrick’s films after the director’s death in 1999. The documentary Filmworker, directed by Tony Zierra, followed him throughout his career in film and explored his friendship with Stanley Kubrick. Filmmaker’s debut feature “Filmworker” debuted at the 2017 Cannes Film Festival.

After beginning his artistic career in the early 1970s as a guest star on a number of British television series, Vitali graduated from the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Art.

Vitali’s film career went beyond his association with Kubrick. The 2013 film “Romeo & Juliet” was one of several in which he had a starring part. The two first features credited to director Todd Field’s name include collaborations with Vitali in the roles of technical consultant and associate producer.

Three times in his lifetime, Vitali tied the knot and then promptly broke up with his wife. The children he raised—producer Masha Vitali, actress Vera Vitali, and cameraman Max Vitali—will carry on his legacy.

Warner Bros. is remaking “Ocean’s Eleven,” and they want Ryan Gosling to star with Margot Robbie.

Gosling and Robbie, who will play Ken and Barbie in the upcoming film by Greta Gerwig, have already discussed working together in the future remake of the franchise, which will be directed by Jay Roach and written by Carrie Solomon. The plot of the prequel is being kept under wraps, although it is widely believed that it will take place in Europe in the 1960s, rather than in Las Vegas like the original 1960 film featuring the Rat Pack and the George Clooney-fronted trilogy of the early 2000s. New York City served as the backdrop for the events of the 2018 film “Ocean’s 8,” which featured an all-female heist squad led by Sandra Bullock, Cate Blanchett, and Anne Hathaway.

Robbie will also be producing the film alongside Tom Ackerley and Michelle Graham under their LuckyChap label. This show will be executive produced by Gary Ross, Olivia Milch, and Josey McNamara of LuckyChap. Executive producing duties have also been taken on by Village Roadshow.

In May, rumours began circulating that Warner Bros. was developing a prequel to their heist comedy. However, the project has not yet been given the green light. According to rumours, production is expected to begin in the spring of 2023. The release date of “Barbie,” starring Robbie and Gosling, is set for July 21, 2023.

Puck broke the story that Gosling was in talks to join the cast.

Gosling is also working on a follow-up to his Netflix smash hit, “The Gray Man,” with the film’s filmmakers Joe and Anthony Russo. CAA and Sloane, Offer, Weber & Dern are Gosling’s representatives.
