Raftaar was born on 16 November 1988 in Thiruvananthapuram, Kerala. He started as a contestant in a dance show, DID doubles but didn’t make it to the final round.
He began his rapping career with his friends – Lil Golu and Ikka, and uploaded songs on various streaming websites. Raftaar along with Ikka and later went and formed a group with the legendary Yo Yo Honey Singh. The group was known as Mafia Mundeer. Raftaar left the group and went for his solo rap journey.
