There are around 3,300 gas stations located in the Indian state of Punjab, while the neighboring state of Haryana has more than 2,500 on its own.

Want to Open A Petrol Pump

The Income Tax laws of India stipulate that only Indian citizens or permanent residents can apply for and be granted a licence to operate a petrol pump station within the country. To receive the resident of India document, a person must remain in India for 182 days in the previous fiscal year.

A minimum age of 21 and a maximum age of 55 is required of all applicants. A copy of the applicant’s 10th Standard Board Certificate, Secondary School Leaving Certificate, Birth Certificate, Passport, Affidavit for Age, or Identity Card issued by the Election Commission is required to verify their age.
